SAO PAULO — Brazil’s soccer federation has officially extended its partnership with Nike for an additional 12 years, securing a deal that will last until 2038.
A source familiar with the agreement revealed that the contract is valued at $100 million annually, accompanied by royalties from the sales of national team jerseys, which were not part of prior agreements.
The source requested anonymity as they were not authorized to speak publicly about the deal.

In an important development, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) will now have the rights to license merchandise and open retail locations globally, marking a significant shift in their business operations.
CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues expressed pride in the new agreement, stating, “This contract shows the strength of Brazilian soccer.
This is one of the longest and most successful partnerships in soccer, and together, we will continue to celebrate the brilliance of Brazilian soccer and honor the legacy of jogo bonito.”

Brazil and Nike initially partnered in 1996, and the previous contract was set to conclude in 2026.
Doug Bowles, Nike’s vice president for Latin America, affirmed that this deal “strengthens our longstanding commitment to Brazilian soccer.”
The Nike brand kits are worn by Brazil’s teams in men’s and women’s soccer across all age levels, as well as the beach soccer and futsal teams.

Earlier in the year, Nike announced a new deal with the German Football Association, replacing adidas as the supplier for its national teams from 2027 to 2034 for a reported value of approximately 100 million euros ($108 million).
adidas had a deep-rooted relationship with Germany that spanned nearly 70 years, making Nike’s acquisition of this contract notable.

In addition to Brazil, Nike sponsors various other national teams, including those from Australia, Croatia, England, France, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea.
