HAMILTON, N.Y. — On Wednesday night, Cornell University triumphed over Colgate University with a convincing score of 84-57, bolstered by an impressive performance from Nazir Williams, who contributed 22 points to the Big Red’s victory.

Williams showcased an efficient shooting display, finishing the game with 9 of 13 from the field and hitting 3 of 5 shots from beyond the arc. Cooper Noard also made a significant impact, scoring 19 points and making 7 of 11 field goal attempts, including 5 of 8 from three-point range, while also securing five rebounds. Guy Ragland Jr. added 12 points, converting 5 of 6 attempts from the floor.

On the other end, the Raiders struggled to find their rhythm, with Sam Wright, Brady Cummins, and Nicolas Louis-Jacques each contributing 11 points for Colgate, whose record now stands at 2-7 for the season.

Cornell took control of the game early, as Noard led the scoring with 15 points in the opening half, which concluded with the Big Red holding a solid 54-32 advantage. The second half saw Cornell maintain and even extend their lead to 64-39, driven by an impressive 8-0 run. In that half, Williams stood out again, leading the team with nine more points that further solidified their dominance over the Raiders.
