NASSAU, Bahamas — Derrian Ford scored 18 points, leading Arkansas State to an 86-81 victory over Indiana State in the Baha Mar Hoops on Friday night.

Ford also contributed five rebounds to help the Red Wolves, who improved their record to 5-1 for the season. Terrance Ford Jr. contributed significantly, adding 17 points on an efficient shooting night, going 5 for 10 from the field. He excelled from the free-throw line as well, making 5 of 8 attempts, and also recorded five rebounds. Taryn Todd rounded out the trio of double-digit scorers with 15 points, hitting 7 of 15 shots, including one of four from beyond the three-point line.

For the Sycamores, Jaden Daughtry was impressive, finishing the game with 21 points. Indiana State’s Aaron Gray had a notable performance too, amassing 13 points and pulling down nine rebounds, while Kmani Doughty matched Gray’s scoring output with 13 points.

Arkansas State entered the halftime break with a 46-35 lead. During the first half, Terrance Ford Jr. was pivotal, scoring 10 points. In the second half, the Red Wolves amplified their lead with an 8-0 run, extending their advantage to 16 points at 56-40 with 15:49 left in the game.
