BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Samford achieved a convincing victory over West Georgia with a score of 86-65 on Friday evening, largely due to Trey Fort’s noteworthy performance.
Fort contributed significantly to the Bulldogs’ success by scoring 16 points, shooting 6 out of 16 from the field, and making 3 out of 8 attempts from beyond the arc.
In addition to Fort’s efforts, Josh Holloway also made a solid impact, adding 13 points to the scoreboard. He demonstrated his efficiency by hitting 5 of 6 shots, including 3 of 4 from three-point territory, and facilitated the game with six assists.
On the other hand, the Wolves struggled throughout the match, currently holding a record of 0-9. Shelton Williams-Dryden was the standout player for West Georgia, finishing with an impressive tally of 21 points, along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Kolten Griffin supported his teammate’s efforts by contributing nine points, six rebounds, and four steals for the Wolves.
