FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — New York Jets running back Breece Hall is seemingly on track to participate in Sunday’s matchup against Seattle, after dealing with a minor knee issue earlier in the week.
Hall was able to take part in full practice on Friday, leading to his questionable status for the game. Both Hall and interim coach Jeff Ulbrich expressed optimism concerning Hall’s potential absence from the lineup.
“He’s trending in the right direction, so we’re optimistic he’ll be available to play,” Ulbrich stated. “He performed well today, and we will assess how he feels after practice tomorrow.”
Hall sustained the knee injury during the Jets’ narrow 28-27 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts on November 17 but managed to complete the game without any immediate issues. Following the game, he experienced some discomfort, which prompted the team to take a cautious approach by limiting his practice participation earlier in the week.
“I feel good,” Hall remarked. “I practiced today without any pain or discomfort. I’m confident I’ll be ready.”
On the other hand, linebacker C.J. Mosley might be sidelined for an additional week due to a herniated disk in his neck, which has kept him out of the past four games.
Mosley suffered the injury during warmups on October 27. He engaged in full practices on both Wednesday and Thursday but had a limited session on Friday after colliding with running back Braelon Allen during practice.
“I definitely felt it,” Mosley acknowledged. “There’s still some soreness, but I’m being cautious. While I’m not fully ready for a game, it was good to get out there and feel the physicality to gauge how my neck and shoulders are holding up. However, it’s still a bit tender.”
Left tackle Tyron Smith will miss his second consecutive game due to his own neck problem and may be a candidate for injured reserve. He has been undergoing various tests and evaluations regarding his condition.
Additionally, safety Chuck Clark was added to the injury report late Friday after appearing to injure his shin during practice; he was listed as questionable. Offensive linemen Jake Hanson (hamstring) and Xavier Newman (concussion) are also listed as questionable ahead of the game.
