Valencia drew first blood with a penalty kick successfully converted by Luis Rioja, putting them ahead early in the match. However, Cyle Larin responded just before halftime, skillfully redirecting a pass into the net from a challenging angle to equalize for Mallorca.

As the game progressed, it was substitute Adbón Prats who clinched the victory for Mallorca. In the 81st minute, he executed a powerful header after connecting with a curling cross sent in by Sergi Darder, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.
