Suns’ Bradley Beal exits in the 4th quarter during Phoenix’s defeat against the Nets.

PHOENIX — During the fourth quarter of Wednesday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal left the court limping, marking a potential new injury concern for the three-time All-Star. The Suns ultimately fell to the Nets with a score of 127-117.

After falling to the floor mid-way through the fourth quarter, Beal did not return to the match. Upon exiting the arena, he was questioned about whether it was his left ankle or calf that was troubling him, to which he replied “both.” This raises alarms considering Beal has already faced challenges this season due to a strained left calf that previously sidelined him for five consecutive games.

At 31 years old, Beal has endured a series of injuries over the past three and a half seasons, rarely managing to complete a full schedule; he has averaged no more than 53 games played in an 82-game regular season. “He had a couple different instances where he landed on someone’s foot,” noted Suns coach Mike Budenholzer. “We’re hopeful for a positive outcome, but there are no updates at this time.”

Before his latest setback, Beal was performing well, contributing 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Unfortunately, the Suns have struggled as a team, suffering losses in seven out of their last nine games, placing additional pressure on the roster as injuries continue to disrupt their performance.
