MALIBU, Calif. — CSU Fullerton secured a 72-63 victory over Pepperdine on Tuesday night, with Donovan Oday contributing significantly to the win by scoring 15 points.
Oday was impressive, making 5 of his 8 shots from the field and converting 5 of 6 attempts at the free-throw line for the Titans (2-5). Kaleb Brown also played a pivotal role, adding 13 points with a shooting performance of 4 for 6 from the field and a perfect 4 for 4 from the line. Meanwhile, John Square Jr. contributed 12 points, capitalizing on 3 of 4 shots from the field and scoring 6 out of 8 free throws.
On the other side, the Waves (1-5) saw their top scorer, Stefan Todorovic, finish the game with 16 points and nine rebounds. Zion Bethea was also a key player for Pepperdine, scoring 13 points while adding three steals. Boubacar Coulibaly made his presence felt with 11 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
Despite a challenging first half where Kobe Young scored four points, CSU Fullerton went into the locker room trailing 35-29. However, the Titans rebounded during the second half, outscoring the Waves by 15 points. Oday spearheaded the offensive effort with 11 points in the second half, leading his team to a comeback victory.
