Army secures a dominant 91-52 victory over SUNY-Maritime

WEST POINT, N.Y. — In an impressive display of basketball, AJ Allenspach achieved a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, leading the Army Black Knights to a commanding victory over SUNY-Maritime with a score of 91-52 on Tuesday evening.

Josh Scovens contributed significantly to the win, scoring 16 points and blocking three shots for Army, which improved to a 4-3 record. Blake Barker was also a key player, tallying 15 points and demonstrating efficient shooting by hitting 6 of 8 from the field, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc.

For the Privateers, Jovan Germain was the standout player, finishing the game with 21 points. Jake Devaney supported the team with 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Tyler Anderson chipped in with eight points.

The Black Knights took control of the game midway through the first half, seizing the lead at the 11:29 mark and never looking back. Allenspach made a significant impact in the first half, scoring 14 points to help propel Army to a 51-38 lead at halftime. In the second half, Army continued their dominance, stretching their advantage to 67-42, highlighted by a strong 14-2 scoring run. Barker was particularly effective after the break, contributing 12 points to the team’s total.
