BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bulls delivered a commanding performance on Tuesday night, securing a decisive 43-7 victory over the struggling Kent State Golden Flashes in their regular-season finale. C.J. Ogbonna was the star of the show, contributing to five touchdowns, while Al-Jay Henderson showcased his skills by rushing for 185 yards and adding a touchdown himself.

With this win, Buffalo concluded the season with an impressive record of 8-4, including a solid 6-2 within the Mid-American Conference (MAC). This achievement marks the first time since 1986 that the Bulls have clinched four consecutive victories to end a regular season, and they have now secured six MAC wins for only the third time in the history of their program. Previously, they accomplished this in 2018 with a 7-1 record and in 2013 when they finished with 6-2.

In the game, Ogbonna demonstrated effective leadership by completing 14 of 22 passes for three touchdown throws. He also made significant contributions on the ground, scoring on runs of 12 and 11 yards while accumulating a total of 51 yards from nine carries.

Henderson’s performance was also critical to the Bulls’ success, as he carried the ball 30 times. His impressive 20-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter extended Buffalo’s lead to 26-0, putting them in firm control.

The Bulls’ receiving corps played a key role, with Victor Snow, Tadd Barr, and Javien Cuff each securing a touchdown catch. Buffalo’s offense totaled 446 yards and successfully converted 9 of 15 third downs. Snow had a standout performance with eight receptions for 99 yards, while six other players contributed with one reception each.

On the other side, Tommy Ulatowski connected with Luke Floriea for a 27-yard touchdown pass early in the third quarter, which provided Kent State (0-12, 0-8) their only score of the night. This loss marks a disheartening 21-game losing streak for Kent State, making it the longest current skid in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).
