High Point University triumphed over Hampton in a close game, with a final score of 76-73 on Tuesday evening in George Town, Cayman Islands. Leading the way for High Point was Kimani Hamilton, who contributed 18 points to the team’s effort. Bobby Pettiford played a crucial role by sinking a contested shot in the lane with just 10.9 seconds left on the clock, solidifying the Panthers’ victory.

In addition to Hamilton’s performance, he also recorded eight rebounds. Trae Benham made a significant impact as well, scoring 17 points and demonstrating impressive accuracy as he hit 4 out of 5 from the field, including a perfect 4 for 4 from beyond the arc. He also converted all five of his free-throw attempts. Kezza Giffa rounded out the scoring for High Point with 11 points, having shot 4 of 10 from the field and 2 of 3 from the free-throw line.

For the Hampton Pirates, George Beale emerged as the top scorer with 17 points, while teammate Noah Farrakhan added 16 points to the scoreboard. The first half saw High Point lead at halftime with a score of 38-33, thanks in part to Giffa’s impressive 11-point effort during that period. In the second half, Hamilton stepped up with a team-high of 13 points, contributing to the Panthers’ overall success.
