CYPRESS LAKE, Fla. — In a thrilling match on Tuesday, the Miami RedHawks edged out Mercer with a final score of 75-72, largely thanks to Peter Suder’s impressive performance of 16 points.
Suder also contributed with six rebounds and four steals, showcasing his all-around game for the RedHawks, now holding a record of 4-2. Eian Elmer was another key player for Miami, scoring 15 points while also grabbing five rebounds and securing three steals. Antwone Woolfolk made an impact by shooting 5 of 8 from the field and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line, ending the game with 13 points and six rebounds.
On the other side, Mercer Bears, who now have a record of 3-4, were led by Ahmad Robinson, who tallied 19 points along with six assists and three steals. Brady Shoulders added 14 points and was disruptive on defense with four steals. Alex Holt also made a notable contribution, registering 12 points and pulling down nine rebounds.
The first half saw Miami take a narrow lead into halftime with a score of 35-30. During this period, Eian Elmer was notable, scoring 11 points for the RedHawks, while Suder erupted for 12 points in the second half, helping seal the victory.
