THIBODAUX, La. — In an impressive display on the court, Byron Ireland led the Nicholls Colonels to a commanding 79-35 win over Mississippi College on Monday evening.
Ireland’s performance included scoring 15 points and contributing five rebounds, significantly aiding his team’s effort to improve their record to 3-4.
Also making notable contributions, Michael Gray Jr. scored 14 points with an impressive shooting performance, going 3 for 5 from the floor, including 2 for 4 beyond the arc, and sinking 6 of 8 from the free-throw line.
Mekhi Collins further bolstered the Colonels’ offense by hitting 6 of 7 shots from the field, ending the game with 12 points.
On the opposing side, Tyree Bracey led the Choctaws with 11 points and collected seven rebounds, showcasing his skills on both ends of the court.
