NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — In a strong performance, Cooper Noard led Cornell to an 84-68 win over Iona on Monday night, scoring 20 points.
Noard showcased his shooting skills, hitting 5 of 9 attempts from the field, including 3 of 7 from three-point territory, and impressively converting all 7 of his free-throw attempts. This victory improved Cornell’s record to 4-2.
In addition to Noard’s contribution, Jake Fiegen bolstered the team with 15 points, making 5 of his 9 field goal attempts and 4 of 6 from behind the arc.
Adam Tsang Hinton also had a solid outing, scoring 12 points, with a shooting mark of 2 for 6 from three-point range and a perfect 6 for 6 from the free-throw line.
For Iona, Dejour Reaves led the scoring with 19 points, while Adam Njie contributed 14 points and provided six assists.
Furthermore, Yaphet Moundi contributed significantly with 13 points, nine rebounds, and five steals.
Overall, the matchup highlighted strong efforts on both sides, but it was Cornell who ultimately emerged victorious.
