ESTERO, Fla. — In a competitive matchup on Monday night, the Richmond Spiders emerged victorious against the Florida Tech Panthers with a score of 67-57, largely thanks to Jason Roche’s impressive performance.
Roche contributed significantly to the Spiders’ win, scoring a total of 22 points and demonstrating remarkable shooting accuracy by making 7 of 10 three-point attempts. Delonnie Hunt also played a pivotal role, not only scoring 12 points but also grabbing 10 rebounds, highlighting his hustle on both ends of the court. Jonathan Beagle had a well-rounded game, finishing with 12 points, supported by six rebounds and six assists, hitting crucial shots including going 4 for 6 at the free-throw line.
On the other side, Donovan Brown stood out for the Panthers, netting 27 points and dishing out four assists. His effort kept Florida Tech competitive throughout the game. Additionally, teammates Donovan Murphy and Elhadji Thiam contributed six points apiece, with Thiam also collecting nine rebounds.

The turning point came with just over eight minutes left in the second half when Beagle scored on a layup, putting Richmond ahead at 48-46, a lead they maintained until the final whistle.
