Utah Hockey Club strolls to venue after their bus gets caught in Toronto congestion.

TORONTO — The Utah Hockey Club encountered an unexpected delay on their way to face the Maple Leafs, as their bus found itself immobilized in Toronto’s heavy traffic on Sunday evening.
The team shared footage on social media, showcasing players walking toward Scotiabank Arena, with athlete Maveric Lamoureux commenting that their bus was “completely at a standstill.”
Traffic issues in the city were exacerbated by road closures for the annual Santa Claus parade, which took place earlier in the day.
On the ice, the Maple Leafs claimed their fourth win in a row, narrowly defeating Utah with a score of 3-2.
The incident sparked a reaction from Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who described the traffic situation as “embarrassing” and “unacceptable.” He reiterated his administration’s commitment to tackling the city’s congestion with new bike lane measures.
This was not an isolated occurrence, as Toronto hosts several high-profile events that can lead to transportation frustrations.
Earlier in June, former One Direction member Niall Horan also found himself navigating traffic on foot to attend his concert at Scotiabank Arena.
