UNCASVILLE, Conn. — In an exciting matchup at the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament, John Camden showcased an impressive performance, scoring 30 points and leading the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens to a thrilling 100-94 victory over Yale on Sunday night.
Camden contributed significantly to his team’s success, grabbing eight rebounds in the process. His teammates also made notable contributions, with Cavan Reilly netting 23 points. Reilly demonstrated sharpshooting skills, connecting on 5 of 10 attempts from three-point range and making all eight of his free throws. Additionally, Izaiah Pasha added 17 points to the scoreboard, going 6 for 12 overall while struggling from beyond the arc, missing all three of his attempts. He also converted 5 of 7 free throws.
On the other side, Nick Townsend stood out for the Bulldogs with a solid performance, registering a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, along with four assists. Bez Mbeng matched Townsend with 20 points and contributed five assists, while John Poulakidas added a noteworthy 19 points of his own.
In the second half, Pasha was instrumental in maintaining Delaware’s lead, scoring 14 points. The Fightin’ Blue Hens managed to outpace Yale by a single point in this half, securing the victory.
