Coby Bryant’s interception return underscores strong performance by Seahawks’ defense in 16-6 victory against Cardinals

In Seattle, Coby Bryant made a significant impact by returning an interception for a 69-yard touchdown, while Leonard Williams stood out with 2.5 sacks, leading the Seahawks to a 16-6 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. This win allowed Seattle to equal the NFC West leaders’ record on Sunday.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba emerged as a key player for the Seahawks, recording six receptions for 77 yards and scoring the first offensive touchdown against the Cardinals in three weeks. However, it was the Seahawks’ defense that played a pivotal role in the game, snapping the Cardinals’ four-game winning streak and improving Seattle’s record to 6-5.

This victory marks Seattle’s sixth consecutive win and their seventh triumph in eight encounters with Arizona. The two teams are scheduled to compete again in two weeks, promising another exciting matchup.

Despite averaging over 29 points in their previous three games, the Cardinals struggled against the Seahawks’ formidable defense, racking up only 298 total yards and managing a mere 49 rushing yards. Quarterback Kyler Murray faced a relentless pass rush, being sacked five times, while Williams contributed with four additional hurries and a deflected pass.

On the offensive side for Seattle, Geno Smith completed 254 passing yards, adding one touchdown but also throwing one interception. For Arizona, Murray accumulated 285 yards through the air, and tight end Trey McBride had a standout performance with 12 receptions for 133 yards.
