In Ankara, Turkey, it has been reported that a Russian aircraft experienced an engine fire immediately after arriving at Antalya airport on Sunday. The transportation ministry confirmed that the plane was carrying a total of 95 individuals, all of whom were evacuated safely.
The aircraft in question was a Sukhoi Superjet 100 operated by Azimuth Airlines, which originated from Sochi. The flight included 89 passengers along with six crew members, as per the ministry’s announcement.
Upon landing at approximately 9:34 p.m. local time, the pilot issued an emergency alert. Fortunately, local airport rescue and firefighting units responded promptly and were able to extinguish the flames that had ignited from the engine. The ministry emphasized that there were no injuries reported among those on board.
