BALTIMORE — In a closely contested game on Sunday, Azmar Abdullah emerged as a standout performer for Boston University, scoring 21 points off the bench to propel his team to a 69-62 triumph over Howard.
Abdullah showcased an impressive shooting performance, hitting 7 of 9 attempts from the field, with a remarkable 5 for 7 from beyond the arc, contributing significantly to the Terriers’ efforts, who improved their record to 3-4.
Alongside Abdullah, Kyrone Alexander contributed 10 points, despite having a rough shooting night, going 2 of 9 overall, but was perfect from the free-throw line at 4 for 4 and also collected seven rebounds. Additionally, Ben Palacios chipped in with nine points, hitting 3 of 5 shots from the field, including a solid 3 for 4 from three-point range.
For the Bison, Marcus Dockery led the way with 17 points and recorded two steals. Blake Harper added a well-rounded performance with 14 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, while Anwar Gill made his mark with 10 points and two steals.
