HONG KONG — Patrick Reed celebrated his first victory in almost four years on Sunday, finishing with a 4-under 66 to secure a three-shot win at the Hong Kong Open on the Asian Tour.
Reed took command of the event with an impressive 59 on Saturday, a round played under preferred lie conditions on the drenched fairways of the Hong Kong Golf Club. New Zealand’s Ben Campbell, the defending champion, recorded a 65 to claim second place.
Starting the final round with a three-shot advantage, Reed quickly distanced himself from the competition, notching four consecutive birdies on the front nine.
This triumph marks Reed’s first win since the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines back in January 2021. While the former Masters winner has joined LIV Golf, he has yet to secure an individual title in his three seasons with the Saudi-backed tour.
Looking ahead, Reed is set to compete in the final two weeks of the Asian Tour, beginning with a tournament in Qatar next week, followed by the PIF Saudi International.
