HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — In a competitive matchup on Saturday, Drayton Jones excelled with 23 points, leading South Carolina State to a 72-62 victory against IU Indianapolis.
Jones was also instrumental on the boards, grabbing seven rebounds, which contributed to the Bulldogs’ (4-3) overall performance. Colin McKenzie played a significant role too, successfully making three of four attempts from beyond the arc, resulting in 11 total points. Michael Teal rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs, finishing with 10 points; he shot 75% from the field and made three out of six attempts at the free-throw line.
On the other side of the court, the Jaguars (2-5) were powered by Jarvis Walker, who led his team with 21 points. He also recorded four assists and two steals during the game. Alec Millender added depth to the scoring with 13 points and contributed two steals of his own. Additionally, Paul Zilinskas chipped in with 10 points, furthering the Jaguars’ efforts.
