FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In a decisive performance, Taylen Green threw two touchdown passes and rushed for two more, steering Arkansas to a 35-14 victory against Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
The win not only marks a successful outing for the Razorbacks but also secures their spot in a bowl game, achieving this milestone for the fourth time in coach Sam Pittman’s five seasons at the helm.

The Arkansas offense, which had a sluggish start with just 25 yards in the first quarter, found its rhythm in the second quarter. Green orchestrated a 13-play, 80-yard drive that culminated in a touchdown with only 5:54 left before halftime. On the next drive, Green showcased his versatility by scrambling 41 yards for a touchdown on a critical 4th-and-3 play, giving Arkansas a comfortable lead.

For Louisiana Tech, the day proved challenging as they struggled to generate offensive momentum. The Bulldogs did not surpass 20 yards on a single drive until late in the third quarter, when Evan Bullock connected with Eli Finley to conclude a 42-yard drive, providing Louisiana Tech its first touchdown. This score came on the heels of a targeting penalty that negated an Arkansas interception just a few plays prior.

Green concluded the match with an impressive stat line, completing 20 of 37 passes for 221 yards and rushing for 61 yards on six carries. He secured his second rushing touchdown during the Razorbacks’ subsequent possession. Louisiana Tech’s Bullock also added a touchdown late in the game, connecting with Jimmy Holiday on a 20-yard pass during the fourth quarter for the Bulldogs’ final points.

Isaac TeSlaa had a standout final home game, catching both of Green’s touchdown passes, which were also his only catches of the contest. Ja’Quinden Jackson sealed the game for Arkansas with a 13-yard touchdown run with just 3:01 on the clock.

Reviewing the situation for both teams, the loss eliminated Louisiana Tech from bowl eligibility. In contrast, Arkansas is just one victory away from achieving only its second seven-win regular season since 2016.

Looking ahead, Louisiana Tech is set to host Kennesaw State on Saturday, while Arkansas will travel to Missouri to wrap up the regular season.
