LEWISBURG, Pa. — Ian Motta contributed significantly to Bucknell’s 81-64 victory over NJIT on Thursday night, scoring 15 points in the process.
Motta not only showcased his scoring ability but also secured five rebounds for the Bison, who are now 4-2 for the season. Achile Spadone was another key performer, delivering 14 points on an efficient 5 of 7 shooting from the field. He also marked his presence with 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals, demonstrating his all-around contributions. Noah Williamson matched Spadone’s scoring effort by adding 14 points as well, capitalizing on a shooting percentage of 4 of 7 and making 5 of 9 from the free-throw line, alongside hitting 1 out of 3 from three-point range.
On the other side, NJIT’s struggles continued as they fell to 0-6 for the season. Tariq Francis emerged as the top scorer for the Highlanders, recording 19 points along with six rebounds. Sebastian Robinson also played a notable role, contributing 11 points and two steals. Triston Wennersten provided additional support with eight points and two blocks, but despite their efforts, NJIT remains on a disappointing losing streak, now extending to six games.
This matchup showcased Bucknell’s strong team performance and raised their confidence as they look to build on their success.
