LOS ANGELES — UCLA secured a convincing 84-70 victory over Idaho State on Wednesday night, thanks to significant contributions from several players. Sebastian Mack led the Bruins with 21 points, while Tyler Bilodeau showcased an impressive shooting performance, finishing the game with 20 points after going 4-for-4 from beyond the arc.

Eric Dailey Jr. also made his presence felt, scoring 16 points and making 7 of his 9 shots. Bilodeau displayed great accuracy, connecting on 8 of 14 attempts from the field. Mack’s standout moment came from the free-throw line, where he converted on 15 out of 16, marking a career high in made free throws.

UCLA started to pull away when Bilodeau and Dailey sank consecutive 3-pointers, leading to a 10-0 run that put them ahead 20-12 midway through the first half. After establishing an early advantage, the Bruins expanded their lead to as much as 17 points, finishing the first half with a comfortable 41-27 lead and maintaining a double-digit cushion throughout the second period.

Before halftime, Mack had already scored 11 points, going a perfect 9-for-9 at the free-throw line. On the opposing side, Isaiah Griffin set the tone for Idaho State by scoring the team’s first 12 points, including three quick 3-pointers, helping the Bengals briefly take a two-point lead just over halfway through the first half.

Griffin ended up leading Idaho State with 16 points, while Dylan Darling contributed 13 points and AJ Burgin added 11. Despite the loss, the Bengals showed some competitive spirit.

UCLA demonstrated impressive shooting stats overall, making 27 of 47 attempts for a 57% field goal percentage. They were also efficient from three-point range, sinking 9 of 14, and excelled at the free-throw line, hitting 21 of 26 attempts.
