MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks welcomed back Damian Lillard on Monday after he sat out three games while under concussion protocol.
Lillard was marked as probable on the injury report ahead of the game against the Houston Rockets. Bucks head coach Doc Rivers confirmed during a pregame session that Lillard was ready to go for the match.
“He’s doing well,” Rivers stated confidently. “He has been cleared to play.”
The accomplished guard, a seven-time All-NBA selection, is putting up impressive statistics this season, averaging 26 points, 6.6 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game. During Lillard’s absence, the Bucks managed to secure two victories out of three contests.
In addition, Rivers noted that two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo would also be suited up for Monday’s game, despite being listed as probable as he continues to manage tendinopathy in his right patellar tendon.
