Angelina Jolie stepped out for a special evening with her 16-year-old son, Knox Jolie-Pitt, at the Governor’s Awards in Los Angeles on November 17. The outing marked Knox’s first red carpet appearance in over three years, and the mother-son duo turned heads with their stylish looks.
Angelina radiated elegance in a sunny yellow gown, while Knox, looking all grown up, sported a classic suit and buzzed haircut. The pair walked arm-in-arm, capturing the attention of fans and photographers alike.
Knox’s Last Red Carpet Appearance
The last time Knox graced a red carpet was in October 2021 when he joined his siblings Maddox, 23, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twin sister Vivienne, 16, to support Angelina at the London premiere of her Marvel film Eternals. Notably absent from that event was his older brother Pax, 20.
Despite having world-famous parents, Knox and his siblings tend to stay out of the public eye. “They’re especially shy, very private people,” Angelina shared with E! News in October. “They want to be private.”
Jolie-Pitt Kids Explore the Entertainment World
While maintaining their privacy, some of Angelina’s children are gradually finding their way into the entertainment industry. Her sons Maddox and Pax have taken on behind-the-scenes roles, assisting as ADs (assistant directors) on her upcoming film Maria.
“Maddox and Pax were on this one doing AD work,” Angelina told The Hollywood Reporter in August. “They’ve done that quite a few times, and I think that’s good for them. Pax tends to focus on still photography, and Pablo [Larraín, the director] recognized his talent.”
Meanwhile, Vivienne has been exploring theater production. She worked as a producer’s assistant on the Broadway adaptation of The Outsiders, which Angelina co-produced.
Vivienne’s Passion for Theater
“Viv loves theater,” Angelina told Deadline in June. “She appreciates all kinds of theater but knows what she feels connected to.”
In fact, Vivienne played a pivotal role in convincing Angelina to join The Outsiders production after watching the show five times. “It had a significant effect on her as a young person, and she communicated that to me,” Angelina shared.
Reflecting on the experience, Angelina added, “I had the privilege of watching everyone work over this last year to make it into what it is, and Vivienne has been there the whole way.”
The Governor’s Awards outing was a rare glimpse into the close-knit relationship between Angelina and her children, with Knox’s return to the red carpet making the moment even more memorable.
