NORMAL, Ill. — In an impressive performance, Jack Daugherty contributed 28 points off the bench as Illinois State secured a commanding 107-52 win against Trinity Christian (IL) on Sunday evening.
Daugherty showcased his scoring ability by hitting 10 of his 17 attempts from the field, which included an outstanding 8 for 15 from three-point territory for the Redbirds, now boasting a record of 3-1 this season. Meanwhile, Dalton Banks made his mark with 14 points while also contributing five rebounds and five assists. Additionally, Logan Wolf had an efficient outing, shooting 5 for 7 from the floor and connecting on 3 of 5 shots from three-point range, also finishing with 14 points.
For the Trolls, Danny Staskunas led the scoring effort with 14 points. Tylan Harris and Mac Parmelee added to the tally with 12 and 10 points, respectively, but it was not enough to counter the Redbirds’ offensive surge.
This dominant performance reflects Illinois State’s growing momentum as they continue their season.
