CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — In an exciting matchup, Chattanooga managed to secure a narrow victory over Southeast Missouri State with a final score of 87-82 on Sunday evening.
Noah Melson was instrumental in the Mocs’ success, contributing 15 points along with five rebounds. His performance helped propel Chattanooga to a much-needed win, improving their record to 2-3. Alongside Melson, Sean Cusano made a notable impact by scoring 14 points, displaying impressive accuracy by going 5 for 5 from the field and hitting 2 of his 3 free-throw attempts. Trey Bonham also had a strong showing, scoring 13 points with a shooting line of 3 for 9 overall and 2 for 7 from beyond the arc, while also grabbing six rebounds.
On the opposing side, Rob Martin had a standout game for the Redhawks, scoring a remarkable 29 points.
