WACO, Texas — In a decisive matchup, Baylor University emerged victorious against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a score of 65-42 on Sunday. Yaya Felder and Bella Fontleroy each contributed 12 points to the team’s success, while Sarah Andrews added 11 points to the tally.

Although Baylor maintained the lead throughout the game, it wasn’t until they executed an impressive 11-0 run in the fourth quarter that they truly secured their win. During this critical stretch, Andrews contributed significantly by nailing two 3-pointers, and Felder added a 3-pointer along with two free throws, helping to extend the lead and seal the game.

Both teams struggled with their shooting percentages. Baylor finished the game with a field goal percentage of 33%, including an output of 11 from 30 behind the arc, and they managed just 10 out of 19 from the free-throw line. Conversely, the Islanders could only muster 30% shooting overall, hitting just 1 of 11 from 3-point range and converting 5 of their 12 free-throw attempts.
