KYIV, Ukraine — On Sunday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine reported a significant assault by Russia, during which 120 missiles and 90 drones were launched aimed specifically at the nation’s energy resources.
Zelenskyy indicated that the offensive involved a range of drone types, such as Shahed drones, alongside cruise, ballistic, and aerobalistic missiles. The Ukrainian defense forces successfully intercepted a remarkable 140 airborne threats, as noted by the President in a Telegram message.
He emphasized that the primary objective of the Russian attacks was to disrupt Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, leading to unfortunate damage from strikes and debris. In Mykolaiv, the drone onslaught resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals and injuries to six others, two of whom were children.
