SACRAMENTO, Calif. — In a thrilling matchup on Saturday evening, Cal State Northridge triumphed over Sacramento State with a final score of 79-69, thanks in large part to the standout performance of Scotty Washington, who delivered a remarkable 27 points.
Washington exhibited impressive shooting skills, making 7 out of 13 field goal attempts, including 4 of 7 from beyond the arc, and successfully converting 9 of 11 at the free-throw line. This strong outing helped the Matadors improve their season record to 3-1.
Keonte Jones also made significant contributions, tallying 20 points while shooting 7 for 11 and perfecting his free-throw opportunities at 6 for 6. Additionally, Jones grabbed six rebounds, showcasing his effectiveness not only in scoring but also in rebounding.
