RICHMOND, Va. — Jack Clark showcased an impressive performance, netting 25 points to propel VCU to an 83-57 victory over Loyola of Maryland on Saturday evening.
Clark contributed significantly to the game, also grabbing six rebounds for the Rams, who now boast a record of 4-0. Joe Bamisile was another standout in the game, scoring 22 points while also securing five rebounds and making three steals. Max Shulga added to the team’s success with 20 points, shooting 7 of 14 overall, including 3 of 8 from beyond the arc, along with converting 3 of his 4 free-throw attempts.
For Loyola, Milos Ilic was a key figure, finishing the night with 10 points and eight rebounds. Braeden Speed also put forth a solid effort with another 10 points for the Greyhounds, while Tyson Commander contributed nine points to the scoreboard.
The turning point in the game came when VCU seized the lead with 5:11 left in the first half, a lead they would maintain for the rest of the matchup. Bamisile’s strong first-half performance, where he led with 14 points, positioned VCU for a 36-30 advantage at halftime. Clark dominated the second half, scoring 19 points as VCU extended their lead and outpaced Loyola by 20 points during that period, ultimately securing a decisive win.
