SAN ANTONIO — On Saturday night, the Incarnate Word Cardinals secured a convincing 92-64 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, showcasing strong performances from key players.
Dylan Hayman was a standout, contributing 18 points, along with seven rebounds and five assists. His efforts helped the Cardinals improve their record to 3-1.
Jordan Pyke also made a significant impact, scoring 17 points and grabbing eight rebounds while adding six assists and three steals to his tally. Davion Bailey matched Pyke’s scoring contribution with 17 points, hitting 6 of 13 shots overall, including 3 of 10 from beyond the arc, and converting 2 of 3 from the free-throw line.
For Arkansas-Pine Bluff, who fell to a record of 1-4, Klemen Vuga led the team with a notable 19 points and six rebounds. Teammate Christian Moore played a vital role as well, scoring 15 points and dishing out five assists. Raphael Dumont contributed to the scoring with nine points, but their combined efforts were not enough to close the gap against the Cardinals.
Overall, the game highlighted the Cardinals’ strong offensive performance, along with their ability to distribute the ball effectively, leading to a dominating win against the Golden Lions.
