Southeast Missouri State secures a commanding 93-38 victory over Crowley’s Ridge

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Damarion Walkup was instrumental in leading Southeast Missouri State to a decisive 93-38 victory over Crowley’s Ridge on Wednesday evening, scoring an impressive 23 points.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Walkup contributed six rebounds for the Redhawks, who are now 1-2 for the season. His teammates also made significant contributions: Tedrick Washington Jr. tallied 18 points, converting 8 of 15 attempts from the field, including 2 of 7 from beyond the arc, while also grabbing 10 rebounds. BJ Ward recorded 11 points, achieving 4 of 8 shooting with a single 3-pointer made out of four attempts.

On the other side, Crowley’s Ridge struggled to find their rhythm, with Trent McGowan leading the Pioneers’ scoring with just nine points. Gavin Hall managed to add eight points, and Braxton Cousins chipped in with seven points, but it wasn’t enough to challenge the dominant Redhawks.
