ORANGEBURG, S.C. — On Monday night, South Carolina State displayed a dominant performance, defeating NAIA opponent Voorhees by a significant margin of 94-48. Leading the charge for the Bulldogs was Davion Everett, who netted 17 points and showcased an impressive shooting performance, making all seven of his attempts from the field and converting 2 of 3 free throws.
Florian Tenebay also contributed significantly to the Bulldogs’ scoreboard, providing 15 points. His shooting was efficient, hitting 5 of 6 from the field, coupled with a stellar 5 for 6 from the free-throw line, and he also racked up seven rebounds. Additionally, Mitchel Taylor made his mark, scoring 11 points while shooting a commendable 5 of 7.
On the other side, Voorhees’ Umar Lawson was the standout performer for the Tigers, finishing the night with 14 points. Bryce Wilson aided the team’s efforts with nine points, and Daethan Harris added seven points to the tally.
With this victory, South Carolina State improved their record to 2-1, showcasing both their offensive prowess and defensive capabilities against their rival.
