STATESBORO, Ga. — In a thrilling matchup on Monday night, Georgia Southern emerged victorious over Augusta with a final score of 79-69, thanks in part to a standout performance from Bradley Douglas, who contributed 22 points to the Eagle’s win.
Douglas displayed impressive shooting skills, connecting on 7 of his 12 attempts from the field while also making 4 of 8 from beyond the arc. He was perfect at the free-throw line, sinking all four of his attempts. Georgia Southern improved their record to 2-1, with notable contributions from Nakavieon White, who added 12 points to the scoreboard. He excelled at the charity stripe, hitting 6 of 7 free throws. Tyson Brown also played a significant role, contributing 11 points with an efficient shooting performance that included going 4 for 7 from the field and 3 for 5 from the free-throw line.
On the other side of the court, Elias Palsson was a key player for Augusta, finishing with a total of 19 points. His efforts kept the Jaguars competitive throughout the game. Additionally, Max Amadasun made his presence felt with a solid performance that included 15 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the court. Demitri Gardner also chipped in for Augusta, scoring 15 points and contributing two steals, but ultimately their efforts fell short against the Eagles.
