Inglewood, California — Tyreek Hill, the wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, was confirmed to be on the field for a matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.

Despite his participation, Hill’s status had been uncertain due to a torn ligament in his wrist, which, alongside quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion-related absence, has negatively impacted Hill’s performance.

As of this game, Hill had accumulated 446 receiving yards and one touchdown during the first eight games of the season. He has not surpassed the 100-yard mark or found the end zone since his impressive season opener where he recorded 130 yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville.

During his initial two seasons with Miami, Hill consistently achieved over 1,700 receiving yards. Before joining the Dolphins, he spent six successful years with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now 30 years old, Hill has surpassed 1,200 receiving yards for each of the past four seasons. Notably, he topped the NFL charts in 2023 with a remarkable 1,799 yards and 13 touchdown receptions, and earlier in August, he accepted a revised contract that featured increased guaranteed money.

For the Dolphins, several players were listed as inactive for this game, including running back Jeff Wilson Jr. due to a knee issue, as well as cornerbacks Ethan Bonner and Storm Duck, fullback Alec Ingold, linebacker Mohamed Kamara, offensive lineman Andrew Meyer, and wide receiver Dee Eskridge.

On the Rams’ side, they were missing starting right tackle Rob Havenstein because of an ankle injury, along with reserve defensive lineman Neville Gallimore, who was sidelined due to shoulder and neck problems. However, the team welcomed back offensive linemen Steve Avila and Jonah Jackson after they had previously been absent for an extended duration.
