SAN FRANCISCO — Malik Thomas put on an impressive performance, scoring 22 points in the San Francisco Dons’ 84-73 victory over the Boise State Broncos on Saturday.

Thomas demonstrated his efficiency on the court, hitting 8 of his 13 shots, although he struggled a bit from behind the arc, missing all four 3-point attempts.

From the free-throw line, he was more successful, converting 6 of 7 attempts.

Joining him in the scoring was Marcus Williams, who contributed 20 points, shooting 6 for 12 from the field, including a stellar 4 for 5 from 3-point range.

Williams also showcased his all-around skills by grabbing five rebounds and dishing out six assists during the game.

Ndewedo Newbury had a solid outing as well, finishing the night with 14 points on 5 of 8 shooting, including 2 for 3 from beyond the three-point line.

For the Broncos, Tyson Degenhart was the standout player, leading his team with 25 points and seven rebounds.

Andrew Meadow made a notable contribution with 12 points, also securing nine rebounds and three steals.

Alvaro Cardenas Torre added to the scoreline with 11 points and five assists, helping keep the game competitive.

At halftime, San Francisco held a narrow lead of 36-30.

Carlton Linguard led the Dons in scoring during the first half, contributing 10 points.

The Dons took control of the game for good with 11 minutes and 11 seconds remaining in the second half, when Newbury sank a jump shot, bringing the score to 51-50.

This victory improved the Dons’ overall record to 2-0, while Boise State now stands at 1-1 for the season.
