In a decisive basketball matchup on Saturday night, the Sam Houston Bearkats triumphed over Tarleton State with a score of 91-62. Dorian Finister was a standout performer for Sam Houston, contributing significantly with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Equally impressive, Lamar Wilkerson matched Finister’s point total, scoring 15 points and showcasing his shooting skills by going 5-for-10 from the field, which included three successful shots from beyond the arc. Kian Scroggins also played a key role in the Bearkats’ offense, finishing the game with 14 points, shooting 4 of 6 overall, along with a solid 6-for-9 performance from the free-throw line.
For Tarleton State, Bubu Benjamin shone as the leading scorer, amassing 17 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals. Chris Mpaka made a notable contribution as well, with 15 points, adding seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks to his performance. Matt Krass also reached double figures with 10 points, adding three steals for good measure.
