— In a strong showing, Wichita State secured a commanding 89-69 victory over Montana State on Saturday night, with Justin Hill leading the way by scoring 17 points.
Hill also contributed significantly by grabbing five rebounds and dishing out five assists, proving to be a key player in helping the Shockers improve their record to 2-0.
Harlond Beverly also had a noteworthy performance with 14 points, making 5 of his 10 attempts from the field and converting 4 of 5 free throws.
Corey Washington matched Beverly’s tally, scoring 14 points while shooting 5 of 7 from the field and successfully hitting 3 out of 4 shots from the charity stripe.
On the opposing side, the Bobcats found themselves still searching for their first win, now sitting at 0-2.
Brandon Walker led Montana State with 13 points, trying to rally his team.
Alongside him, Brian Goracke and Tyler Patterson both contributed 11 points each, but their efforts were not enough to combat the Shockers’ overpowering offense.
