The Los Angeles Chargers have made a significant move by activating running back Gus Edwards from injured reserve, as announced on Saturday.
Edwards had been sidelined for four games due to an ankle injury but has returned to practice this week and participated fully in Friday’s session. There is a strong possibility that he will be on the field for the Chargers’ upcoming match against the Tennessee Titans.
In his sixth NFL season and first with the Chargers, Edwards has accumulated 113 rushing yards on 38 attempts, yielding an average of 3.0 yards per carry. The Chargers are currently boasting a record of 5-3 and have achieved victories in two consecutive games, winning three of their last four matches.
In addition, the team has also promoted cornerback Eli Apple and linebacker Caleb Murphy from the practice squad in preparation for the Sunday game.
