ST. CHARLES, Mo. — In a thrilling match on Saturday, Nate Glantz made significant contributions by throwing two touchdown passes in the second quarter and adding a rushing touchdown in the third, leading Lindenwood to a surprising 24-12 victory over Southeast Missouri State. This unexpected win put an end to the Redhawks’ seven-game winning streak.

Lindenwood, now standing at 5-6 with a record of 4-3 in the Big South/OVC Association, initially found themselves trailing 3-0. However, Glantz connected with Drew Krobath for a 20-yard touchdown pass, flipping the scoreboard in favor of Lindenwood. Later, with just 13 seconds remaining in the first half, Glantz threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Caldwell, establishing a 14-6 lead at halftime against the sixth-ranked Redhawks in the FCS coaches poll.

Continuing their momentum, Glantz showcased his versatility in the third quarter, rushing 27 yards for a touchdown that extended the Lions’ lead to 21-6.

Glantz had an impressive game overall, completing 13 of his 20 pass attempts for a total of 183 yards and one interception. Caldwell was a standout receiver, catching six passes for 99 yards, while Steve Hall contributed significantly with 91 yards on 18 carries.

For the Redhawks, Paxton DeLaurent managed 174 yards passing, going 16-for-37 and throwing one interception. He did, however, manage to score on a short 3-yard run in the third quarter. Additionally, DC Pippin successfully converted two field goals from 39 and 47 yards, adding to the team’s score.

Prior to this defeat, the Redhawks only faced one loss during the season, which came from a close 21-16 game against the FBS opponent, New Mexico State, earlier in the season.
