New Haven, Conn. — Grant Jordan had a stellar performance, throwing for 372 yards and connecting for six touchdowns, while David Pantelis stood out with 12 receptions, amassing 195 yards and scoring three touchdowns, leading Yale to a decisive victory against Brown with a score of 56-34 on Saturday.

In an explosive first quarter, Jordan and Pantelis established a strong connection, with three touchdown passes between them. The highlight of this quarter was a 25-yard touchdown catch by Pantelis, which capped off a formidable 12-play, 77-yard drive just 44 seconds before the end of the quarter. Shortly after, the Yale defense made an impactful play by intercepting the ball, allowing Pantelis to score again with a 29-yard catch on the very next play, pushing the score to 21-7.

Jordan further extended the lead with a 2-yard touchdown run, bringing the score to 28-7. Tight end Ryan Belk contributed to the scoring frenzy by recording his very first career touchdown with a 14-yard reception over the middle that put Yale ahead 35-14 as the first half was winding down. In the second half, Mason Shipp made an impression by catching five passes for 89 yards and scoring two touchdowns, marking his first touchdowns of the season.

On the defensive side, Yale’s defense made significant plays by forcing four turnovers. Early in the fourth quarter, Tamatoa McDonough executed a strip sack, which Zairion Jackson-Bass recovered, marking the third turnover for Yale. Brandon Webster also had a strong game, recording his second interception as he returned an underthrown ball near the end zone back to Yale’s 37-yard line with 4:51 remaining in the game.

For Brown, Jake Willcox struggled with three interceptions—two thrown to Webster and one to Osize Daniyan. However, Mark Mahoney managed to secure 10 catches for 115 yards and one touchdown, providing some offensive spark for Brown, who now holds a record of 3-5 overall and 2-3 in Ivy League play.
