AUSTIN, Texas — In an impressive performance, freshman guard Tre Johnson led the way for No. 19 Texas, scoring 28 points in a commanding 90-59 victory over Houston Christian on Friday evening.

Johnson’s standout play was marked by his ability to connect on 5 of 8 attempts from beyond the arc, complemented by several powerful drives to the basket. His contributions were pivotal in helping the Longhorns secure their first win of the season.

Arthur Kaluma also made an impact on the court, contributing with 15 points and 10 rebounds, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor. The team pulled ahead decisively during a 15-0 scoring spree that unfolded late in the first half, allowing them to gain control of the game.
