1. Cavaliers (9-0)

The Cavaliers continue to impress, maintaining their undefeated record. They’ve conquered tough opponents, including the Bucks and Knicks, with a well-balanced offensive and defensive approach under head coach Kenny Atkinson. Donovan Mitchell’s clutch play continues to carry them to victories.

2. Warriors (7-1)

Golden State has proven their depth with a statement win over the Celtics. Their rotation is expanding, with newcomers seamlessly fitting into the lineup. Led by strong defense and a potent offense, the Warriors are once again among the league’s elite teams.

3. Thunder (7-1)

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s historic start included seven consecutive double-digit victories. However, their unbeaten run ended with a loss to the Nuggets, despite a strong defensive showing. The Thunder’s offense still has room for improvement.

4. Celtics (7-2)

The Celtics suffered their first home loss of the season to the Warriors but remain a top contender. Jayson Tatum continues to perform well, and Neemias Queta’s solid performances in the paint have bolstered Boston’s frontcourt.

5. Suns (7-1)

Phoenix has won six straight, with Kevin Durant playing clutch basketball. The Suns are thriving in tight games this season, thanks to an improved fourth-quarter performance, a major shift from last year’s struggles in crunch time.

6. Rockets (5-3)

The Rockets have quietly been impressive, with balanced offensive contributions from several players. Their strong defense and deep roster have them climbing the rankings.

7. Nuggets (5-3)

Despite key injuries, the Nuggets have stayed competitive. Christian Braun’s scoring and Nikola Jokic’s continued dominance are carrying the team, but they’ll need more consistency as the season progresses.

8. Mavericks (5-3)

Luka Don?i?’s impressive stats aren’t enough to mask the Mavs’ offensive inefficiencies. However, their potential for improvement makes them dangerous in the long term.

9. Timberwolves (4-3)

The Timberwolves’ defense has been a concern, especially with their negative net rating when star players are on the floor together. They’ll need to tighten up defensively to contend.

10. Kings (5-3)

The Kings have won five of their last six games, and their trio of De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and DeMar DeRozan is proving to be a force on offense.

11. Grizzlies (5-4)

Ja Morant has been playing at a high level, and the Grizzlies are improving. His playmaking and scoring have energized the team, though defensive concerns persist.

12. Pacers (4-4)

After a slow start, the Pacers have won three of their last four games. Bennedict Mathurin’s recent performances have been a highlight for the team.

13. Clippers (4-4)

The Clippers are struggling with inconsistency, but Norman Powell’s strong scoring efforts have kept them competitive.

14. Nets (4-4)

The Nets remain competitive thanks to solid play from their core players, including Cam Thomas, who has been exceptional in fourth quarters.

15. Lakers (4-4)

Anthony Davis has been at an MVP level, but the Lakers’ defense continues to be a major concern. The team’s recent losses highlight their ongoing struggles.

16. Hawks (4-5)

Rookie Zaccharie Risacher’s standout performance has provided a spark, but the Hawks need more consistency to climb higher in the rankings.

17. Knicks (3-4)

The Knicks are struggling with integrating new pieces into their system. Their bottom-tier defense is becoming a major problem early in the season.

18. Heat (3-4)

Bam Adebayo’s inconsistent performances have hurt Miami, and they’ll need him to step up if they want to make a real impact this season.

19. Magic (3-6)

The Orlando Magic are finding it difficult to generate offense without Paolo Banchero, leading to a series of tough losses.

20. Trail Blazers (3-5)

Deandre Ayton has been a bright spot for Portland, recording consistent double-doubles. However, they still face challenges in the broader team dynamic.

21. Spurs (3-5)

Despite a tough start, Victor Wembanyama continues to show promise, including a standout performance in a recent win over the Jazz.

22. Hornets (3-5)

Brandon Miller’s return has been a boost for the Hornets, and they managed to stave off a losing streak with a close win over the Pistons.

23. Pistons (3-6)

The Pistons have shown improvement on defense but still struggle to put together complete games.

24. Pelicans (3-6)

Injuries have plagued the Pelicans, but Brandon Ingram continues to lead the way with impressive individual performances.

25. Bulls (3-5)

The Bulls have hit a rough patch after a decent start. Their fast-paced play hasn’t led to consistent success on both ends of the floor.

26. Bucks (1-6)

The Bucks are in a difficult position, with early losses and chemistry issues. Damian Lillard’s shooting has been a bright spot, but their overall struggles are concerning.

27. Raptors (2-7)

The Raptors are off to a rough start, but second-year player Gradey Dick is showing signs of promise with his scoring ability.

28. Wizards (2-4)

The Wizards’ momentum faltered after their early wins, but rookie Kyshawn George had a breakout game, showing potential for the future.

29. 76ers (1-6)

The 76ers have been disjointed, and despite the addition of Paul George, they remain stuck in the bottom tier until Joel Embiid returns from suspension.

30. Jazz (1-6)

The Jazz have managed one win, with rookie Keyonte George leading the way in a standout performance. However, they remain near the bottom of the standings.
