Democratic Representative Jill Tokuda has successfully secured her position for reelection to the U.S. House, representing Hawaii.
The 2nd Congressional District, for which Tokuda has been chosen, spans rural Oahu along with all the other islands of Hawaii.
First elected to this seat in 2022, Tokuda actively participates in key roles on the agriculture and armed services committees.
Prior to her tenure in Congress, she spent 12 years in the state Senate, notably serving as the chair of the Ways and Means Committee.
In addition to her political career, Tokuda has experience as a small business owner and previously held the role of external affairs director at the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center located in Maui.
Her victory was officially announced at 5:14 a.m. EST.
