Republican Congressman Doug LaMalfa secured his reelection for a U.S. House seat in California on Wednesday.
LaMalfa, who previously served in the California Legislature for ten years, has been representing the U.S. House since his election in 2013.
In this recent electoral contest, he triumphed over Democratic challenger Rose Penelope Yee.
The congressional district that LaMalfa represents spans a significant portion of interior Northern California, which encompasses major cities like Chico, Redding, and Susanville.
The results of the election were officially announced at 3:29 a.m. EST.
