On Tuesday, Democratic Representative Mikie Sherrill secured her reelection to represent New Jersey in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Sherrill, who has a background as a Navy pilot and federal prosecutor, successfully overcame challenges from Republican opponent Joseph Belnome and two other candidates in New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District.
By winning this election, Sherrill achieved her fourth term in the House, a position she originally gained in 2018 when she flipped the district from Republican control.
