England maintains lineup versus Australia following defeat to All Blacks

LONDON — Following a narrow 24-22 defeat to New Zealand, England has decided to keep the same lineup for their upcoming match against Australia on Saturday. This decision comes as part of their autumn international series, with the team aiming to bounce back after their loss in the opening match.

Although there are no changes to the starting XV for the second of the four tests at Twickenham this month, head coach Steve Borthwick has implemented a positional adjustment in the midfield. Henry Slade and Ollie Lawrence will switch positions, which is expected to enhance the team’s performance on the field.

The only modifications to the squad involve the bench, where Luke Cowan-Dickie steps in to replace Theo Dan as hooker. Additionally, Ben Curry has given way to adapt to a 5-3 split between forwards and backs, allowing for a more balanced approach during the match.

The full England squad for the match is as follows: George Furbank, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, Ollie Lawrence, Henry Slade, Tommy Freeman, Marcus Smith, Ben Spencer, Ben Earl, Tom Curry, Chandler Cunningham-South, George Martin, Maro Itoje, Will Stuart, Jamie George (captain), and Ellis Genge. The reserves include Luke Cowan-Dickie, Fin Baxter, Dan Cole, Nick Isiekwe, Alex Dombrandt, Harry Randall, George Ford, and Ollie Sleightholme.
